What Are Some Famous Pick Up Lines?

The dating scene is rife with various lines that people use on a daily basis to pick up people in bars, clubs and at social events. Some are corny, others are raunchy (or dirty) and still others are just plain cheesy. But within these lines there are famous pick up lines.

The thing to think about here is that, in this case, "famous pick up lines" does not necessarily translate to "good" pick up lines. Consider the following examples:

"I lost my number…can i have yours?"
"Are you tired? because you've been running through my mind all day."
"Can I get some fries with that shake?"
"Do you think I work ay UPS? "No" – Cause I swore I saw you checking out my package."

In looking at these lines, you can see several things: first, these are famous pick up lines for the simple fact that everyone has seen or used these before and they are almost legendary, for good or bad. Second, the above lines cover the gamut from funny, to corny to dirty to just plain crazy.

The key to using famous pick up lines is that you should strive to make them unique. As mentioned these lines are famous because they a) have been used many many times and b) they're very corny or crazy. But while that is fine, if you don't make them your own, then you may get a look but if you're not unique you won't get very far.

So, if you want to use famous pick up lines, what is your first step? Pick lines that you would feel comfortable using. So, if you don't feel right using dirty pick up lines, then very simply, don't use them. Only use lines that conform to who you are. If you are outgoing, loud and easily toss off what some may consider sexist remarks, then racy lines would sound natural. Rather than trying to use corny lines.

Once you've decided on your famous pick up lines, then you need to go about mixing and matching. Make them your own and make them unique, using current news, entertainment, music, movies or something else entirely. The key here is to stand out from among the crowd and grab the attention of the person you're after.

Remember that although famous pick up lines are a good place to start building your confidence, you can not and should not rely on them as your sole way of trying to get dates, and meet new people. The best way to do this is to be yourself. Be outgoing as far as you are comfortable and only use famous pick up lines sparingly. It is not the line that will get you the date, but what comes after, that will interest the guy or girl you want to be with.
