Types of Dating Pick Up Lines

One way to do this is to observe the kind of environment you're in. If you're in a strip club, this type of line may work, but if you're in an upscale bar, it will fall flat.

Another type of line is the "cute" one. These dating pick up lines have much wider use and indeed can be used in a variety of settings and situations precisely because they are meant to be funny and not crude.

Another one of the most used types of dating pick up lines are the so-called "crazy" ones. These lines are meant to shock and be unexpected. The idea here is to get your intended date to suddenly focus on you, which is tough in a bar surrounded by other potential dates. Here, you're not looking for sexy or mean spirited lines (like attacking politicians personally), instead you want to say something that comes completely unexpectedly. Best bet here can be to use current events as a base.

Another type of line that closely resembles the crazy dating pick up lines is the cheesy line. Again this type of line is not meant to be rude or get you slapped like some dirty lines, but instead is meant to get a laugh and to draw attention to you by being perhaps a little goofy. An example of a cheesy line would be Take an ice cube to the bar, smash it, and say, "Now that I've broken the ice, lets talk." Remember, in this case the key here is to have fun with it. Don't take the line, delivery or yourself too seriously and you'll find that it will work.

As you can see, there are many different types of dating pick up lines. The key here is knowing which type suits you, the place your in and the person you want to try it out on. You have just as much chance with the guys as you do with the girls.
